About Us

Redpoint Climbing, Coffee & Taps was born from a love of climbing culture and community. Founded in 1986, it started as a specialty retail shop offering high-quality climbing gear, expert advice, and a curated selection of products for climbers of all levels. But Redpoint is more than just a gear shop—it's a space to gather. With a cozy coffee bar and local beers on tap, it invites climbers to hang out, swap stories, and connect before or after adventures. Over time, Redpoint has become a trusted cornerstone of the local climbing scene, blending retail, refreshments, and community in one welcoming space.

About the Owners

The owners of Redpoint Climbing, Coffee & Taps, Dustin and Amy, have climbed at Smith Rock for over 20 years, are outdoor enthusiasts, and passionate community builders. With deep roots in the climbing community and a shared vision for creating more than just a retail space, they set out to build a place that reflects the spirit of the climbing community—authentic, welcoming, and adventure-driven. Drawing on their combined experience in climbing, business, and hospitality, they carefully crafted Redpoint to be a space where people can find expert gear, great coffee and beer, and genuine connection. Their hands-on approach and love for the sport are felt in every detail—from the gear on the shelves to the vibe of the taproom. At its core, Redpoint is a reflection of their belief that climbing is about more than just the rock—it's about the people you share it with.

About our General Manager

Redpoint’s General Manager, Will Maness, grew up climbing the granite crags of North Carolina, where a deep love for trad climbing and the outdoors took root. Now a seasoned guide and active steward of Smith Rock, he brings a wealth of local knowledge, technical skill, and community spirit to Redpoint. Whether he’s helping customers find the right gear, sharing climbing beta, or pouring a pint, Will blends hospitality with a passion for climbing that makes Redpoint feel like home.

Being part of the Redpoint Climbing, Coffee & Taps team is about more than knowing your gear or pulling the perfect espresso shot—it’s about sharing a real passion for climbing, community, and hospitality. Our team is approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to help others—whether that means fitting someone’s first pair of climbing shoes, recommending a favorite local route, or pouring a perfectly crafted latte or beer.

At Redpoint, we value curiosity, accountability, and inclusivity. We look for team members who take pride in their work, communicate clearly, and are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful space for everyone who walks through the door.
